The "gpm" package contains a mouse server for the Magnux Linux system console. It is meant to provide cooked mouse events to text-only applications, such as editors and simple menu-based apps. This package contains only the libraries needed by programs which support the GPM server. Notice that if you want to use your mouse in the console you'll need to install the gpm package.
